Who is Wilbert?

The Wilbert Foundation was created in 2002 by Wilbert Funeral Services Inc., the nation’s largest provider of burial supplies, to give back to their communities. The Foundation provided an opportunity to celebrate the history of the Wilbert companies, the legacy of the Wilbert Licensees, and the generosity of those in the death care industry.

Over twenty years ago, The Wilbert Foundation began providing grants to Pastoral Care Departments at children’s hospitals around the country. The Foundation wanted to provide financial resources for grief and bereavement support.

It was soon decided that the Foundation would support pediatric chaplains through the Pediatric Chaplains Network -- a nonprofit organization comprised of pediatric chaplains across the US and Canada that specializes in the care of children. Members of the Pediatric Chaplains Network advocate for the unique spiritual needs of children and their families and help contain the intrusion of illness into their lives.
