What are the Wilbert Foundation's funding interests?
The Wilbert Foundation is currently funded by Wilbert Funeral Services, Inc., the Wilbert Licensee Network, and employees of Wilbert. In the future, we plan to seek funding from other sources.

Does the Wilbert Foundation hold fundraising events?
Yes. Our first fundraising event was hosted at the 2005 National Funeral Directors Association and Convention held in Chicago, IL. Lithographic prints by renowned artist Ray Simon were given in exchange for contributions.

The Wilbert Foundation is funded by a funeral service company, are there granting opportunities for industry-related programs?
The Foundation is a a 501(c)(3), as defined by the IRS. Therefore, by law, funds may not be granted to industry-related programs, unless they fall under the definition.

How does the IRS define a charitable foundation?
As defined by the Internal Revenue Service, "An organization organized and operated exclusively for one or more of the exempt purposes…includes relief of the poor, the distressed, or the underprivileged, advancement of religion, advancement of education or science;…elimination of prejudice and discrimination; defense of human and civil rights secured by law; and combating community deterioration and juvenile delinquency."
