About Us

The Wilbert Foundation is a charitable 501(c)(3) non-profit organization formed by Wilbert Funeral Services, Inc. (WFSI), in 2002. It is our mission to provide grants and resources to help children cope with the trauma of grief and death. The organization represents the generosity of WFSI, including employees and Licensees, and allows all to have a direct and positive impact on our most precious resource—our children.

Wilbert is honored to take a leadership position in helping families reaching out in their hours of need.

A Message from the Wilbert Foundation President

We continue to refine our mission and raise funds to further our goals. Recently, we partnered with the Pediatric Chaplains Network (PCN), a non-profit organization comprised of pediatric chaplains specializing in the care of children, and agreed to underwrite the development of a grief training curriculum. The primary goal of the program is to equip chaplains with important resources that will enhance their clinical skills and enable them to provide quality spiritual care to children and their families in a hospital or other healthcare setting.

The first training at the Pediatric Chaplains Institute was held in October 2007. This exciting advancement better equips chaplains to understand how children respond to the fears and challenges of being ill. It is for reasons precisely like this that the Wilbert Foundation was conceived. We are proud of this accomplishment and will continue to work in ways which make positive differences.
